Core Skills/Experience

• 5+ years proven experience in a similar role.
• PHP 4/5 programming.
• PHP Frameworks such as Cake, Zend and CodeIgnitor
• MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Very Good SQL knowledge.
• Design pattern familiarity e.g. Model View Controller.
• Continuous build and test frameworks, source control systems (notably Hudson and Subversion).
• *nix as a primary development platform.
• Javascript libraries and Ajax development e.g. JQuery, Prototype.
• Content Management Systems e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla.
• A good understanding of internet based protocols, HTTP, FTP, DNS, WHOIS.
• An ability to work both on the presentation and service layers.
• Proven portfolio of web sites and delivery to timescales.

Desirable skills but non-essential

• Shell scripting, Web services, Linux and Windows.
